Clinical Psychologists - Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre.
Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre is a specialist inpatient service for 40 people aged 18-65 years. The majority of clients are aged less than 30 years and all experience serious mental illness with associated high and complex needs. This service is committed to facilitating a therapeutic, recovery oriented environment utilising evidence based practice in response to clients clinical and rehabilitation needs.
BRC is engaged in an exciting new initiative to establish a psychological service to lead evidenced based talking therapies for psychosis. We are creating an additional Clinical Psychologist role to complement our existing FTE and are recruiting for 2 FTE positions and are willing to consider part time applicants as well.
You will use your specialist skills working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary teams and providing psychological assessment, formulation and therapy for clients with complex problems including personality disorders, hearing voices and symptoms of psychosis, mood disorders, complex PTSD and dissociative disorder. You will be motivated and able to work both autonomously within a multi team context and be able to demonstrate a clear vision and aptitude for the way a Clinical Psychologist can contribute effectively within this setting.
It is essential that you are a NZ Registered Clinical Psychologist, holding a current annual practising certificate with a Clinical Scope of Practice. You must have a full and clean NZ driver's licence.
