If you’re passionate about our community and have experience or a keen interest in active and sustainable transport then we have a unique opportunity for a part-time Community Travel Co-ordinator.
Working in our City Transportation team, the key focus of this role is to proactively connect with key partners to identify opportunities to collaborate and promote active travel.
This includes planning and delivering a schedule of promotion and events for biking as part of the Hamilton Biking Plan. This is a hands-on role, actively engaging with the local community and businesses and includes scheduling campaigns, relationship management, liaison and coordination with stakeholders, small event management, and monitoring and evaluation of programmes.
To be successful in this role you will be:
- a proactive, outgoing person with a can-do attitude and outstanding organisational skills
- passionate about making a difference in the community and skilled at facilitating conversations with both internal and external stakeholders
- able to demonstrate strong relationship management skills, resilience and a desire to increase uptake of active travel modes
- able to think strategically and deliver operationally
- a strong team player who likes a challenge, is innovative, and has the confidence to autonomously plan and implement projects through to the end.
You could have relevant skills, experience or qualifications in active travel programmes, event co-ordination, marketing or relationship management.

This is a part-time role working 25 hours per week, with flexibility around when these hours are worked.
The recruiting range for this role starts at $54,000 pro-rata, and could be negotiated for the right candidate.
