About the team
In our Gridco Road, Otara Auckland office, we are looking for a skilled Group Administrator/Receptionist to join the team. This is a full-time position with some flexibility available; Monday to Friday starting by 8.30am
You'll be part of our Grid Service Delivery division which is responsible maintaining the performance and operation of our grid assets, such as substations and transmission lines, and property management related to our assets. The Grid Service Delivery Team are accountable for the delivery of national transmission grid services to New Zealand, providing effective real-time operations management.

Working closely with the Senior Group Administrator and Regional Services Manager, as our Group Administrator and receptionist you will ensure the smooth running of all office functions. You will support Transpower staff by providing friendly and efficient administrative support, including reception duties as the face of our Auckland Office. Naturally you strive to ensure that the services you deliver are seamless, effective, consistent and in line with policies and practices.
To be considered for this role, in addition to your well-developed customer service ethos, your application and cover letter will demonstrate;
- Previous experience in corporate administration roles
- Highly effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills at all levels
- A good common-sense approach and sound judgement
- Great initiative in problem solving
- Excellent time management skills and proven ability to prioritise and re prioritise where necessary
- Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
- A full New Zealand driver's license
While not essential - well regarded is working knowledge of
- Invoicing and receipting
- Experience with Database systems
- Visio and Adobe applications and SharePoint
