Logistics Fuel Scheduler Jobs Vacancy in Madison Recruitment Jobs Details:
About the role…
As a Logistics Fuel Scheduler you’ll be managing customer orders, building delivery ‘runs’ and then publishing these for drivers to follow each day. Numerous things will have an impact on how you best schedule the runs each day – seasonal implications, weather, customer demand, supply – so you need to have an appetite for change. Re-jigging will be a constant in this role so if you’re someone who likes to know what the day ahead is going to look like, you’d probably find yourself frustrated in this position.
A significant portion of your day will be spent speaking with drivers and taking on board information they provide, which will impact future runs you schedule. You’ll need to be a confident communicator and able to make quick decisions.
About the company…
Southfuels is a proudly NZ owned and operated bulk fuel and lubricant distributor, specialising in the primary sector.
A highly regarded organisation, Southfuels actively demonstrates consideration for their people. Their incredible staff tenure and outstanding levels of engagement are testament to their company culture, which is all about having a great time at work with great people, whilst doing good, solid work they can be proud of.
Senior management are dedicated to understanding what their people experience day-to-day in their roles. It’s not unusual to see someone from the senior leadership team sitting in the passenger seat on a delivery run with one of the drivers.
What about you?
You’ll be one of those people who all your friends and family lean on to organise the get-togethers, the holidays and who’s buying what for grandma for her birthday. Thinking of anything and everything that could happen is your forte and you pride yourself on your problem-solving ability.
Not only are you adept at juggling 10 things at once, you’re always thinking ahead to pre-empt issues and handle them before they arise.
As a Logistics Fuel Scheduler, you’ll need to be tech-savvy and fantastic at picking up new computer systems. You’ll get plenty of training and have support around you but a natural ability to figure things out in an unfamiliar system will be invaluable. We're looking for someone who loves being the go-to in the office for technology questions.
Fuel industry experience will be advantageous but I’m also keen to speak to applicants who have logistics scheduling experience in freight and/or dangerous goods.
