Head Teacher Atat Village Kindergarten Jobs Vacancy in Auckland Kindergarten Association Te Atatu Peninsula Jobs Details:
Te Atatū Village Kindergarten is currently looking for a passionate Head Teacher to join their dedicated team, in this permanent, full time position.
The Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA) provide exceptional Early Childhood Education (ECE) experiences for tamariki and their whānau. Our kindergartens are magical places where young Aucklanders get the very best start to prepare for school and beyond - building the foundations for a lifetime of learning.
Your leadership and mentoring skills will be second to none, and you'll really enjoy being a great example to your team as a dedicated and capable ECE leader. Balancing day-to-day operations and staff management alongside relationship management and teaching duties means variety and intrinsic reward. You'll need to be energetic and enthusiastic about providing excellent learning experiences to our children and whānau; and have the resilience to meet the challenges, compliance and operational targets that the management component of the role requires.
Our curriculum is driven by a strong play-based philosophy, so you will have a passion for leading a programme which inspires children to follow their interests, create and explore! You will of course also work directly with the children and love to get your hands dirty. Of course, commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi, informing bicultural practice, is essential as well as a strong focus on inclusiveness which values the rich diversity of the children, parents and local community. We offer a range of technological resources to extend children's learning, so you'll also enjoy using ICT as a teaching tool.
Ultimately, everything you do will be focused on achieving the best learning outcomes for children.
The terms and conditions of this position are set out in the Kindergarten teachers, Head Teacher and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement 2017-2019
You must have the legal right to work in New Zealand to be considered for this position.
