This company is looking for an exceptional General Manager of Operations who can help them keep the business running so they can get out and keep selling the product and take advantage of a booming industry. The house building industry is doing very well and given the new density rules and lack of housing stock no doubt this trend is set to continue. One of the leaders in its field this company has a strong customer base who have come to expect quality in design and build when selecting them as a company to build their home with.

The role

You will be managing an established team of designers, quantity surveyors, Project Managers and also external subcontractors. Your main role is to ensure that the team is motivated and has all the tools in place to deliver on their targets and keep the whole process moving in the right direction. Maintaining the flow of communication between the client and the company is also a top priority. You will have the opportunity to bring process improvements and have the autonomy to make decisions. A true partner to the MD you will be someone who is across all areas affecting delivery of their product to the market.

About you

A sound knowledge of the house building process will be put to good use and most importantly, knowledge of the elements that go into managing a process is essential. You will ideally come from a background in construction and therefore have the following skills and experience:

Process management and improvement

Project Management
Team management
Compliance Management
Product Buildibility
Budget Management
Use of project management tools such as MS office
