This role promotes female participation in cricket across playing, governance, coaching and the promotion of community commercial opportunities, acting as the champion for female participation in all relevant strategies of the integrated business model.

TASK DESCRIPTION (Prime Responsibilities)

Key Task: Expected Outcome:

National Female Participation Strategy

• Develop a national female participation strategy across the workstreams of the NZC Business Planning Model which incorporates the recommendations of the “Women & Cricket” report.

Female Playing Pathway • Develop a clear pathway for female players of all ages and ability, with a focus on youth and adult cricket.

• Ensure the pathway recommends the most relevant delivery structures for female cricket, ensuring appropriate age and stage experiences.

• Build and maintain a network of strong relationships with MA and DA development staff to communicate the benefits of a consistent and agreed national pathway for female participation which is aligned to the national strategy.

MA and DA alignment • Work alongside MA & DA community cricket colleagues to ensure that there is the capability of delivering the outcomes of the female participation strategy, and making recommendations for change, as needed

Non-traditional growth opportunities

• Identify and make recommendations for growth in female participation outside of the traditional pathway and in under-represented communities

Communications • Identify community female initiatives and, in conjunction with Marketing and Communications, amplify and share the initiatives to the wider cricketing family.

TASK DESCRIPTION (Prime Responsibilities)

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

Essential

• Experience developing and communicating a new and successful strategy

• A strong background in project management

• Strong administration experience.

• A demonstrable record of achieving results through others.

Preferred

• A strong track record in dealing comfortably with senior management, schools, junior clubs, coaches, volunteers, and educational administrators in a variety of formal presentation settings.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Job-specific • Ability to develop a new strategy

• Knows how to manage and coordinate a project.

• Ability to problem solve and use initiative.

• Knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network.

• Understanding of the structure and operations of community sport, preferably cricket.

• Able to clearly articulate NZC’s vision to stakeholders

• Exceptional written and verbal communication.

• Ability to work proactively.

• Is effective in a variety of formal presentation settings; one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports, and bosses.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL:

• Driver’s licence

• Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

PREFERRED:

• A tertiary qualification, possibly in project management.
