Surgical and Ambulatory Service.
Our dynamic multi-disciplinary team provides physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech language therapy and social work advocacy to people in an Inpatient setting at North Shore Hospital.
We are looking for a casual therapy assistant to join our allied health team at North Shore Hospital. This position will give you the opportunity to provide clinical support in the management of inpatients, community and outpatients, and assist in the ongoing provision of high quality services.
You will be required to carry out a range of tasks and activities necessary to support the clinicians in their work and will participate in ongoing training and supervision. You will work together with clinicians to assist them in providing care to patients and you will be required to support patients with prescribed programmes on an individual basis. You must be able to demonstrate the following key attributes:
- Excellent communication skills, particularly with older people & team members
- An adaptable and mature approach
- Commitment to ongoing learning
- Good organisational skills
- Self motivation, enthusiasm and initiative
