Must be an expert. This role is not just managing an existing database it is fundamentally changing the architecture and user interface.
The employer has a MySQL database for their clients, but the interface and fields are out of date. The employer wants a student to update the system to add more preferences and information about their clients into their database.
To complete this, the Employer is looking for a student with a lot of experience in MySQL to assist in updating their membership portal. Students need to have work-related experience with MySQL for this role, not just study.
Applicants also need to have their own computer and all computer software required for this role as well as a fast internet connection as students will need to communicate with the employer via video conferencing. If students are in Wellington and wish to come into the employer's office then a fast internet connection is not required.
The exact hours and the length of the role will be discussed with the employer, but students will need to be able to commit to at least 20 hours a week for this position. The pay for this position will be at least minimum wage but potentially higher depending on the difficulty of the job, but this is also to be discussed with the employer.
