NorthTec is going through an exciting period of change. In our academic delivery directorate this includes a new pathway structure focussed on providing flexible options for students as they track through their studies while providing appropriate support to ensure better outcomes.
We are seeking several organised, efficient and dynamic leaders who can work with a vibrant collective of academic staff to manage the following Academic Pathways. These are permanent roles. The ideal candidates will be highly motivated and be a strong team-players that can support academic staff in all facets of academia. Being culturally astute and confident in the use of Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga is highly desirable for all roles.

Creative (1x Full Time & 1x 0.5 FTE)
Two positions sharing pathway responsibility for Visual Arts, Creative Writing, Toi Te Waingārahu, Toitū Te Reo, Tertiary Teaching and Adult Community Education (ACE) programmes. Please note that above the standard competencies required, proficiency in Te Reo Māori will be required for at least one of the Pathway Managers in this pathway.
Social & Community (1.0 FTE)
Pathway responsibility for Nursing, Social Services and Sport & Recreation programmes.
Services (0.5 FTE)
Shared pathway responsibility for Hospitality, Hairdressing & Beauty, Business and Tourism programmes.
Manufacturing & Technology (0.5 FTE)
Shared pathway responsibility for Engineering, Commercial Transport and Occupational Health & Safety (OSH) programmes.
Primary (1.0 FTE)
Shared pathway responsibility for Environmental Studies, Applied Science, Forestry, Horticulture and Agriculture programmes.
An industry qualification relevant to the pathway is preferred alongside applicable industry experience at a management level. Academic leadership experience is also highly advantageous.
