industrial manufacturing plant
Our Kawerau sawmill employs over 180 people and, with future growth plans, this is an exciting time to be joining the business. Reporting to our Engineering Manager, you’ll determine and lead the maintenance planning function for the overall site.
You’ll impress us with your ‘make it happen’ attitude, tenacious approach to problem solving and your natural ability to communicate effectively with people across all levels of a business, and the engineering department and trades team, to achieve results.
You’ll relish the chance to use your strong analytical ability and organisational skills on a daily basis, and be able to juggle priorities to manage the unexpected! You’ll be curious and confident to ask the right questions to build effective plans for our site to achieve the business strategy.
This position plays a critical part in our daily planning and maintenance shutdowns and preparing and reporting against maintenance budgets with health & safety always top of mind. A technical understanding of RCM principles, lean manufacturing and maintenance best practice and tools, will be the key to your success in this position.
You’ll likely be trade qualified and have a broad appreciation of medium to heavy manufacturing and mechanical processes with a solid amount of planning experience up your sleeve already. Put your knowledge of Excel and overall systems knowledge including SAP (ideally) or experience with computer based maintenance management systems to good use.
Our mill is in the Eastern Bay of Plenty which has 125km of pristine coastline, an abundance of fresh water lakes and rivers, hectares of native bush which provide those in the eastern bay the opportunity to swim, fish, dive, boat, tramp, kayak, ski, mountain bike or just relax.
