What’s the role?
Responsible for helping Xero meet its communications and news objectives, this role sits within Xero’s corporate affairs function and works closely with the global communications team, our regional teams and our customers and event management groups.
As a key member of the team that delivers Xero’s corporate comms strategy and execution, you’ll be managing the roll out of our corporate communications program and listed company events, as well as managing external relations with media and key third parties.
Other key things you’ll do include:
Executing on an integrated program of diverse, creative campaigns aligned to company corporate communications strategy and listed company events Researching and leading the preparation of corporate communications strategies and plans Identifying creative and distinctive positioning opportunities relative to our competition Writing Xero announcements and corporate press releases Building and maintaining relationships with target business media Helping to build and support our strategic social framework and activities and collaborate with Xero’s internal social leads Supporting and driving external profiling of key Xero leaders We’re looking for someone who has:
Worked in a comms role in a listed company or has significant comms/PR experience agency-side A hunger for good storytelling and an understanding of traditional and social media channels Excellent relationship management skills who can manage multiple priorities showing good judgement How about the culture?
