About the business and the role
Our client is a rapidly growing, nationwide business based on the North Shore. Due to the a sharp increase in revenue, a rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Company Accountant/Finance Manager join this close knit team in a contract capacity to work closely with management to support the company's future growth.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the senior leadership team, you will ensure the accurate and timely provision of accounting and reporting information to assist with strategic decision making. Supported by a capable Assistant Accountant and admin team, you will have a broad role covering financial and management reporting including preparation of full PnL and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis as well as board reports with accompanying variance analysis. You will manage the annual budgeting process as well as the audit and will ensure the company meets its compliance obligations whilst providing analysis as required. You will also manage the company's vehicles and property assets and will conduct regular cashflow analysis and modelling. You will have key involvement in board meetings and ensure robust policies and procedures relating to risk and governance are maintained and adhered to.
Skills and experience
CA or equivalent qualified, you will be an experienced Finance Manager with demonstrated prior experience reporting to the senior management team and running the finance function for a medium sized business. You won't be afraid of getting your hands dirty and will be able to operate comfortably with the nitty gritty but also be see the bigger picture and be able to think strategically, providing astute guidance and support to the executive team. You will need at least intermediate Excel skills and Tier 1 ERP experience will benefit your application.
