Our client is a national manufacturing business that has undergone an organisational review, resulting in an optimised structure that is focussed on Operational Excellence and Business Performance. The environment is a mix of high volume continuous process and batch manufacturing.
The Engineering Manager reports to the Operations Manager and is focussed on supporting optimal manufacturing performance by providing strong change leadership and effectively engaging teams. You will be expected to utilise preventative maintenance programmes to raise overall equipment efficiency and plant reliability.
Build on & deploy preventative maintenance systems; MEX & Workmate
Develop & manage engineering operating budgets, plans & reporting
Support CAPEX site project management & implementations
Ensure engineering compliance to company & legislative standards; H&S, Local Body
Manage team performance & develop capability & culture
Actively contribute & implement site/national continuous improvement initiatives
Integrate engineering to best-practice GMP standards; delight the customer through quality & supply
Manage effective relationships with all site & national teams & suppliers Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
Trade or Tertiary engineering qualification
Engineering & people leadership experience; of step-change
Manufacturing sector; similar complex operation, food and/or packaging an advantage
Excellent interpersonal, communication & influencing skills
Resilience, tenacity & drive, results focus
