Whereas your standard Relationship Manager role would you see you predominantly out on the road, this is an opportunity for someone who has been there and done that and perhaps whose personal life is no longer suited to such an arrangement. If you now need to balance family commitments and would prefer to be based in the office with certainty over structured hours, then this could provide the flexibility you are looking for.
Take charge of a portfolio of rural clients, service and grow their business using a clearly defined client service plan. Acquire new business using a thorough business development plan. Build and maintain excellent relationships with your clients and their advisers (accountants, consultants, solicitors, etc.).
You'll need to be able to talk their language and be able to connect well whilst adding genuine commercial value.
- At least three years experience in a rural finance/banking role, dealing face to face with clients
- Financial analytical skills and the ability to use, communicate and apply this information
- Excellent knowledge of standard credit processes and policy in the banking environment
- Ability to leverage your professional networks and contracts to provide relationship opportunities
- Good understanding of business development tactics and an ability to drive a transaction to completion
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Passion for providing personalised products to farmers, for agriculture and a deep understanding of NZ's agribusiness chains.
