Number One Shoes is proud to be New Zealand's largest footwear retailer with 51 stores nationwide and we're working to establish a strong online brand and presence. We have stores as far north as Whangarei and as south as Invercargill, and a passionate team of around 500 across the country.
About the role
Reporting to The Distribution Centre Manager, this challenging role will be responsible for effectively supervising the Inbound, Shipping and Administration functions within the Distribution Centre and to meeting all production outputs required by the business on a daily basis, as well as providing accurate and timely delivery to our stores
Key focuses of the role
- Ensure effective work flow planning and labour optimisation for all DC functions
- Day to day management and provision of warehousing and distribution services
- Ensure that the DC continues to exceed performance standards in Safety, Service, Cost and People
- Ensuring accurate inventory control and best warehouse management practices are in place
- Implementation of a continuous improvement strategy within the DC

Success in this role will rely on you being a strong multi-tasker who has a proven history of delivering exceptional results in a supply chain setting. It is important that you bring a high level of computer proficiency and strong numerical and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail is a must. With a hands on can do approach, you will possess dynamic people leader experience and are capable of driving and leading a team to success
