The Finance and Records Department for the Church is seeking to appoint a Senior Local Unit (LU) Analyst for the Pacific Area. This is a permanent full-time position located at the Pacific Area Office in Takapuna, New Zealand. LU Analysts provide analytical assistance to Local Unit core work, including support to priesthood leaders and other Church departments, providing membership and financial information and data for Church Headquarters and the Area Presidency.
Core responsibilities as a Senior LU Analyst include liaising with priesthood leaders throughout the Pacific Area, providing information and training as required, analyzing local unit financial and membership data including quarterly reports, membership audits, and annual tithing reports to ensure accuracy and identify trends and training needs, and processing of applications and recommendations in relation to members, leaders, and units. In addition to these tasks, there would also be responsibility for Local Unit work within a specified geographical area.
ü Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, finance, accounting, or related discipline
ü 5+ years of relevant work experience
ü Advanced training skills
ü Professional level oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organisation
ü Ability to interpret large quantities of data and draw conclusions
ü Strong computer skills including the ability to use full Microsoft Office suite
ü Ability to travel throughout the Pacific
The following additional qualifications and experience are highly desirable but not essential:
ü Auditing and investigation experience
ü Working knowledge of Business Objects
ü Language skills in French or Tongan
