We are seeking a Technician to join our Trace Elements Team within our Auckland Lynfield Laboratory.
The successful candidate's main responsibilities will be ensuring all sample tests are carried out using the correct methods, accurately recorded and are completed within the agreed timeframes.
For this role it is critical that your tertiary qualification is focused on Chemistry. It would be highly advantageous if you have had exposure to environmental sample handling, extraction and analysis, however this is not essential.
A very high level of attention to detail and the ability to remain focused is paramount if you are to succeed in this role. You must also be a hardworking individual, capable of following instructions meticulously and thinking independently. The person we are looking for is a team player that can communicate effectively and cope with regularly changing priorities.
Our laboratory operates 7 days a week and this role covers a Monday to Friday roster. The hours of work are 8.00am-4.30pm.We also have busy periods so applicants will need to be flexible in order to work scheduled rostered overtime during these times.
