This is a full time permanent (civ) position
The Workforce Planning and Reporting Team is responsible for delivering workforce demand and supply planning and costing services to enable our Defence Force to meet workforce requirements.
What you will do
This role is responsible for the provision of routine and ad hoc Human Resource analytics to the People Capability Portfolio and wider Defence Human Resource functions and for delivering quality analytics and commentary to support Service leaders and NZDF as a whole.
You will interpret data requirements from a large number of varied stakeholders, and deliver high-quality analysis back to them as well as having the opportunity to develop solutions from our rich data environment.
What we need
A self-starter who is confident in their HR analytical ability and judgement to produce well researched and comprehensive products coupled with a high standard of accuracy and presentation. Someone who thrives on continually developing and being challenged and works collaboratively within the team. You will be a team player who models great leadership and enjoys sharing your knowledge and expertise with other analysts.
Confidence in the use and development of toolsets using the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Access and Excel, SQL and database management techniques.
Experience with HR Metrics and HR data reporting and an understanding of predicative analytics would be advantageous.

- is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last five years : either Australia, Canada, NZ, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.
